Roman Polanski was imprisoned since September when he entered Switzerland’s Zuric Airport for accepting an award. He is not only accused of raping an underage girl of 13 years but also is accused of escaping from the US police since 1978. If the charges against him are proved then he might face severe penalty like extradition. The director though has escaped all charges and has moved freely in different parts of Europe like any other independent citizens, now he will have to defend himself from the charges against him if he wants to live freely rest of his life.:

I teach architectural photography at the University of Miami's School of Architecture.
When I give the interiors sequence, I always show Otterson's interiors, especially those for "Son of Frankenstein." They absolutely rate with Orson Welles and Tarkovsky.

In my opinion, the best and deepest version until now is still the one painted by Franz von Stuck. Check it if you don't know it.

Thanks for the awesome link!

Have you seen the trailer for the "Final Chapter?" Bella flies through the air and tackles a cougar. I laughed for 20 minutes.

I couldn't agree with you more. I saw Twilight and it was a challenge to sit through it. the definition of "vampire" in my brain is forever damaged. Even watching "30 Days Of Night" a dozen times couldn't fix it.

I blame Anne Rice. Vampires were already pretty low on the "things to be afraid of" list, but she turned them into sympathetic, fashionable, aristocratic dandies. But at least Anne Rice was able to maintain a gothic darkness about them, and she didn't shy away from horror or evil. They were NOT your friends. They did NOT play softball. They did NOT sparkle. Talk about crimes against culture, Twilight is right up there with mido-clorians.

You'll definitely want to check out this post from The Oatmeal: http://theoatmeal.com/story/twilight

Great blog! Keep up the horrific work!

les Diabolique was one of my favorite films. The ending is superb and masterful. The affair with Michel and Nicole was excellently played. Les Diabolique is one of my all time favorite films.

The Mist was a good film but not a great film. The Descent had its moments but not enough of them to be truly impressive. The American version of The Ring, which was vastly superior to the overrated Japanese original, is the only post 9/11 film that I would call great.

Threads (1984) is another classic in the Pre/post Nuclear apocalypse genre.

Unrelentingly bleak and all the better for it.

scared me for years.
